SettlePact

A Binance P2P alternative without an account

On Binance P2P, the exchange holds the seller's crypto and decides disputes. On SettlePact, a smart contract holds both sides and follows fixed rules: both people get paid, or both get their money back. Here's an honest look at when each one fits.

  • No account or ID check
  • No exchange holding your crypto
  • Automatic refund, no appeals
  • Crypto-for-crypto trades with a person

Why a smart contract instead of an exchange?

On an exchange marketplace, the safety of your trade depends on the exchange: its escrow, its support team and your account staying open. That works well for many people, but it means trusting a company with your crypto and your identity.

SettlePact takes the company out of the middle. Each side deposits into its own vault address, calculated from the deal's exact terms. When both deposits arrive, both payouts go out together, usually within a minute or two. If the 30-minute timer runs out first, anyone can trigger the refund directly on the blockchain, so it doesn't depend on our website or support staff.

Before you send, you can paste any deposit address into Verify address to confirm it's a genuine SettlePact vault.

Trading safely, wherever you trade

Most P2P scams follow a few patterns: fake payment screenshots, payments that get reversed later, and fake "support agents" in your messages. Our guide to P2P crypto scams explains how each one works and how to spot it, whether you trade on SettlePact, Binance P2P or anywhere else.

Questions

Is SettlePact cheaper than Binance P2P?

Not for buying crypto with cash. Binance P2P charges takers little or nothing and advertisers up to about 0.35%, while SettlePact's crypto-for-cash deals cost 0.65%. SettlePact's 0.30% per side is for crypto-for-crypto trades between two people, which Binance P2P doesn't offer.

Do I need an account or ID to use SettlePact?

No. There is no sign-up and no ID check. You only need a wallet address to receive into.

Who holds the crypto during a SettlePact trade?

A smart contract. Each deposit goes into a vault that can only pay the receiving wallets written into the deal or refund the depositor. Nobody, including SettlePact, can send it anywhere else.

Can I find trading partners on SettlePact like on Binance P2P?

There is a public offers board where you can post or take a deal, but it is much smaller than Binance P2P's marketplace. SettlePact works best when you already know who you want to trade with.

What happens if the other person doesn't pay?

Nothing is released until both sides have paid. If the 30-minute deal timer runs out first, every deposit is refunded in full, with no fee and no appeal to wait for.
